'TIS
THE SEASON
What do you think of when you hear those words? Many
thoughts materialize ... Joy to the World, Peace on Earth,
making a list and checking it twice, and Make Up Your Mind Day
(December 31st). This
is a busy time. We're making decisions,
shopping for and wrapping gifts, attending and planning parties,
ringing out the old and ringing in the new. Time management
is definitely essential every day.
JOY and PEACE OF MIND can be a reality! Are becoming and staying organized
the solutions you're seeking? There are numerous advantages for
you and everyone around you (work colleagues, family and friends).
The benefits include efficient, personalized filing and storage
systems plus practical management of your time, paperwork and space.
Isn't it great when you can immediately find what you need when you
need it?

"Clutter
is like the tide: It comes in every day, whether you want it
to or not. And unless you find a way to deal with it as
quickly as it flows in, pretty soon you'll be drowning in
clutter."
~ Lori Baird, Cut the Clutter and
Stow the Stuff

Many people admit that their own
perfectionism, procrastination, need to learn basic organizing skills,
and lack of time are reasons why they have been unable to get
organized. Desks and bookcases are buried in piles of
"homeless" paperwork, file cabinets are overloaded and
erupting, closets are chock-full, floors and furniture are covered with oceans of newspapers,
magazines, boxes, and other misplaced items, and tax deductible
receipts and documents are jumbled in with everything else.
Celebrate "Make Up Your Mind Day." Make a
decision now to give yourself the VALUABLE GIFT of a new ORGANIZED
LIFESTYLE in your office, home and life. If you need help, hire a skilled,
non-judgmental expert! For tips on choosing a qualified
Professional Organizer, visit our associate website [click here].

SOLVING THE
PUZZLE
While
you're "making a list and checking it twice,"
here are
10 Reminders for Business Owners' "TO DO"
Lists. These tips will help reduce end-of-year stress and save
your valuable time during next year. Be sure to block off time in your calendar to complete the following
tasks and any others on your list.
1. Send holiday cards &/or gifts to clients,
colleagues, vendors, employees and independent contractors.
2. Modify your website and marketing materials if considered necessary.
3. Update your company's 1099 records, request info if
incomplete.
4. For the current year, post in accounting records
all receipts, paid bills and income.
5. Reconcile all bank accounts and credit card accounts.
6. Review your current Profit & Loss Report on
December 1st, estimate
year's expenses and income, contact CPA with any questions or
concerns.
7. Total all mileage records and tax deductible donations.
8. Prepare 2007 labels and folders for income and
expenses. Create a "home" for all of your tax records, then file
documents and receipts immediately -- don't procrastinate next year.
9. Archive (box and store) retired client records and
previous years' tax info.
10. Complete filing process, eliminate piles of documents, empty space
in file cabinets to prepare for new files.
"Organizing is a 'process' ... it's not
a one-day project." We'll teach you how to become and
stay organized.

QUOTES
FOR THE MONTH
Great heights are only reached by overcoming great obstacles.
--Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965)
Obstacles are the things a person sees when he takes his eyes off his goal.
-- E. Joseph Cossman
Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life, as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed.
--Booker T. Washington

"Aloha" is more than
a word of greeting or farewell or a salutation.
"Aloha" means mutual regard and affection and
extends warmth in caring with no obligation in return.
"Aloha" is the essence of relationships in which
each person is important to every other person for collective
existence. "Aloha" means to hear what is not said,
to see what cannot be seen and to know the unknowable.
