SEE THE SIGNS, HEAR THE SOUNDS

The first week In August is Simplify Your Life Week.  Think about the homes and offices you visited recently, or maybe even your own.  How often do you see the "Signs of Chaos" ? ...

  • oceans of paperwork and piles of files, magazines and newspapers.
  • mountains of supplies on the floor, counter, desk and file cabinets
  • an eruption of overcrowded file folders and bursting cabinets
  • a hodgpodge of sticky notes, business cards and unopened mail

... or hear the "Sounds of Disorganization" ? ...

  • sighs ...
  • screams ...
  • groans ...
  • negative chatter ... "I'm so stupid, how could I lose my keys?"
  • cries for help

Remember ... "If you can't find something in 30 seconds, it's in the wrong place!" Everything deserves a home.  And, you deserve an organized office, home and lifestyle.

SOLVING THE PUZZLE

It's a perfect time for a fresh start.  Vacation time is over and you lock those precious memories away for safekeeping. Once again, you're dashing back to work and demanding schedules. The kids head off to school with anticipation, new clothes, tote bags and countless activities. Oh boy, your head is already spinning. Hang on ... don't get overwhelmed.

Today you can start anew, simplify-simplify-simplify, and "let go" of any inefficient habits from the past.  If you have to be in control of your family's busy lives, you know it's impossible to remember what's happening, when and where for everyone.  Now, don't push the Panic Button.  Simply mount a large calendar on the refrigerator or next to the main phone.  Attach to the calendar, with long strings, several different colored pens.  This makes the notes easier to see and is more fun for everyone.

Each color indicates a family member's activities. Example:
in blue are dad's golf dates and business trips, in green are mom's weekly meetings, in red are daughter's piano and dance lessons, and purple shows son's practice games. Everyone can add to their own schedules. First, write in all routine appointments, then add others as they develop, such as birthday parties, dentist and doctor appointments, etc.  Don't forget ... you must copy all this information into your own portable organizer each day. This habit helps you say "no" if there's a time conflict.

IMPORTANT ... be sure to schedule time for family, friends and fun!

After creating personalized systems, maintaining those systems and following procedures will help you stay organized.  "Organizing is a 'process' ...  it's not a one-day project."  We'll teach you how.

"Aloha" is more than a word of greeting or farewell or a salutation. "Aloha" means mutual regard and affection and extends warmth in caring with no obligation in return. "Aloha" is the essence of relationships in which each person is important to every other person for collective existence. "Aloha" means to hear what is not said, to see what cannot be seen and to know the unknowable. (http://www.hawaiischoolreports.com/culture/aloha_spirit.htm)
