QUESTION
OF THE MONTH ...
My
husband and I are planning a vacation in Europe
next summer. What should I plan to take? I
always pack clothes and shoes I never wear.

Packing
for Travel
 |
Dear "Travelers,"
This is
a GREAT question. Our Professional Organizing
Services provide assistance to clients in numerous ways,
including travel preparations. A few of our Basic Packing Tips
are ...
- Where
are you going? Research weather conditions
at destination with your travel agent or on
the Internet.
- When
will you be there (season)?
Summertime =
cool, comfortable clothing, shoes, etc.
... plus one jacket for casual & one for
dressy occasions.
- What
will you do while there? Review travel
brochures & have a "plan"
(places to go, things to do) before
your trip.
- Why
suffer with stress or excessive
luggage? "KISS - Keep It Simple,
Sweetheart" ... make decisions now so you'll
have FUN during your trip. Start a LIST now, save
time later!!
- How
to avoid packing too much ...
color-coordinate your attire ... 3-4 tops, 3
slacks, 3 skirts, 2-3 pairs of shoes, 2 jackets
& 1 dressy outfit. Plan to "mix
& match" and handwash items. Most
hotels provide an iron and/or laundry services.
- Important
-- don't forget money conversion info,
travelers checks, credit card co. &
emergency numbers + addresses, electrical
converters, camera & film, mini-size
cold-water laundry soap, plus pre-packed
cosmetic bag & shaving kit (travel-size
products).
Hope these Tips are helpful and you have a
wonderful trip.
Happy Organizing,
Donna
